Original job description

Build your career with Kiros

Kiros Energy Marketing is a full-service energy marketing company founded on a simple principle: do things right in the spirit of mutual success.

Our team is experienced, driven and highly collaborative. We move quickly, solve problems and step up when something needs to get done. You will be empowered to take ownership, learn from some of the best in the industry and build a career you can be proud of.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving problems and want to be part of a team that works hard, supports one another and delivers, we would love to hear from you!

The opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, Operations, we are looking for an Operations Representative – Logistics, to support the physical movement of C4+ products throughout North America. With a primary focus on butane logistics, you will coordinate rail, truck, pipeline and transload activity and work across the business to keep product moving safely, efficiently and on time.

This is a hands-on operational role for someone who is organized, responsive and comfortable managing changing priorities. You will work closely with Marketing, Producer Services, Accounting, Risk, customers, suppliers, carriers and third-party facilities - connecting the details, solving issues and helping ensure commitments are met.

What you’ll be accountable for

Product Movement & Logistics Execution

Coordinate physical product movements by rail, truck and pipeline.

Order and schedule railcars, maintain shipping schedules, and monitor shipments through track and trace.

Coordinate pipeline and rail nominations and other third-party scheduling requirements. Maintain shipping schedules and proactively coordinate activities to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.

Support transload and storage facility operations, including inventory monitoring and truck dispatching.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure transportation capacity aligns with production changes and customer requirements.

Inventory, Documentation & Reconciliation

Maintain accurate inventory, transportation and operational records within internal systems.

Ensure Bills of Lading and supporting documentation are received, distributed and entered accurately.

Complete month-end balancing and support Accounting and Risk with operational reconciliations.

Commercial & Operational Optimization

Monitor transportation performance and identify opportunities to reduce detention, demurrage and accessorial costs.

Partner with Marketing to support supply, freight and transportation optimization.

Anticipate issues, troubleshoot operational challenges and help find practical solutions that keep product moving.

Relationships & Team Support

Maintain strong, responsive communication with customers, suppliers, carriers and third-party logistics providers.

Collaborate across Marketing, Logistics, Accounting, Risk and Producer Services to support strong operational execution.

Participate in after-hours operational support as required.

What you bring

Communication: You communicate clearly and professionally, listen well, ask good questions, and keep the right people informed. You bring strong written and verbal communication skills.

Teamwork & Collaboration: You build strong working relationships and work effectively across teams, including Marketing, Logistics, Accounting, Risk and Producer Services.

Experience & Industry Knowledge: You bring 2–5 years of relevant experience in energy logistics, commodity operations, rail transportation, trucking, pipeline scheduling, NGLs, or a related field. Experience with NGLs, railcar fleets, transload operations, or pipeline nominations is an asset.

Problem Solving & Attention to Detail: You bring strong operational and analytical skills, use sound judgement to solve problems, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Organization & Technical Skills: You can manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced commercial environment and bring strong Microsoft Excel skills.

What success looks like at Kiros

You take ownership, follow through and do what you say you will do. You communicate early, work collaboratively and stay focused on finding the right answer. You are comfortable with the pace and accountability of the energy industry, and you bring integrity to every interaction - with teammates, customers and partners alike.

Why Kiros

At Kiros, you’ll have the opportunity to learn, grow and take on meaningful responsibility, supported by experienced people who want you to succeed. We work hard, enjoy what we do, and give our people the opportunity to build a career they can be proud of.

We offer competitive compensation and benefits, flexible work schedules, professional development and an open, dynamic work environment. More importantly, we believe you can be highly successful in this industry while treating people well - building strong, long-term relationships grounded in honesty, accountability, trust and integrity.
