Original job description

We are looking for an experienced DB2 developer who has worked in a critical application with large sized DB2 Database (>=10TB). The role requires the candidate to understand the landscape of the application and the data, including its topology across the Online Data store and the Data Warehousing counterparts. The challenges we strive to solve include scalability and performance related to handling very large data sets and multiple data sources.

We are a global team with members in New York, Montreal, and Bangalore. The role involves collaborating with global team members and provides a unique opportunity to network with a diverse group of people.

The candidate who fills this role of a Database developer in our team will be involved in building and creating solutions from the requirements stage through deployment. A successful candidate is self-motivated, innovative, thinks outside the box, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work with clients and stakeholders from both the business and technology with ease.

Responsibilities

Develop database solutions for a critical application with a DB2 database of at least 10 TB, addressing scalability and performance challenges across large datasets and multiple data sources. Understand the application and data landscape across online data stores and data warehousing, and deliver solutions from requirements through deployment in collaboration with global teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

The candidate should have experience developing DB2 solutions for critical applications with very large databases and understand application and data landscapes spanning online data stores and data warehouses. They should be self-motivated, innovative, able to think creatively, communicate effectively, and work comfortably with business and technology clients and stakeholders.
