Cloud Development Lead (Onshore)

Location: PCS CA~TORONTO

Years of Experience: 10-15 Years

Job Summary: We are seeking a Cloud Development Lead to guide the architecture, engineering, and delivery of cloud-native solutions for tokenized deposits, stablecoins, digital assets, and cross-border blockchain payment infrastructure. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on cloud microservices development with expertise in DLT integrations, secure custody models, and scalable financial tech architecture.

Responsibilities

Lead technical architecture, microservices engineering, and deployment of cloud platforms supporting tokenized deposits, digital assets, and DLT payment rails.
Design high-throughput, secure, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure integrating blockchain nodes, smart contract engines, and bank payment systems.
Establish development standards, design patterns, security frameworks, cryptographic key management guidelines, and API specifications.
Enforce Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), container orchestration, and CI/CD automation across cloud and ledger environments.
Collaborate with enterprise security, compliance, and product leads to ensure adherence to digital asset regulatory standards.

Mandatory Skills

8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a technical lead/architect role within banking or fintech.
Hands-on expertise in tokenization models (tokenized deposits, stablecoins), DLT/blockchain integration, wallet custody, and digital asset operating workflows.
Strong backend development skills in Java / Spring Boot, Go, Python, or Node.js within microservices architectures.
Deep knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure (Compute, Serverless, IAM, Networking, Key Management/HSMs).

Preferred Skills

Exposure to cross-border payment ecosystems, ISO 20022 messaging, and core banking integration patterns.
Experience with event-driven streaming platforms (Apache Kafka, AWS EventBridge).
AWS / Azure Solutions Architect or recognized Blockchain certifications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
