Accounting Analyst

As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support daily accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Review and reconcile financial transactions, bank accounts, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports and analyze variances, trends, and discrepancies.
• Monitor customer balances, vendor payments, and outstanding invoices.
• Review billing accuracy, transportation costs, and profitability.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online.
• Work closely with the finance and operations teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support the CFO with financial analysis, reporting, and other accounting projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage is an asset.
