Role Description The Online Instructor is a part-time, on-site role located in Canada, working closely with students to provide engaging, curriculum-aligned support in English, French, and/or Math. Instructors facilitate live online sessions, guide students through interactive activities, and use digital tools and platforms to deliver personalized instruction. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and collaborating with other educators to improve learning experiences. The Online Instructor will also help create a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages student participation and builds confidence.
Qualifications
- Strong instructional skills in English, French, and/or Math, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
- Comfort using online teaching platforms and digital tools; interest in educational technology such as VR, AI, or gamified learning environments.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, collaborate with school staff, and support parents.
- Experience working with children or youth in educational or tutoring settings, preferably in bilingual or multicultural environments.
- Ability to manage small groups, maintain a positive classroom atmosphere, and promote an inclusive, non-discriminatory learning space.
- Organizational skills to plan lessons, track student progress, and follow school board guidelines and program requirements.
- Availability for after-school and evening hours in an on-site setting in Canada.
- Relevant education or training in Teaching, Education, Child and Youth Studies, or a related field is an asset; familiarity with provincial curricula is beneficial.
