Crushing Labourer

Reporting to the Crusher Foreman, Crushing Labourers play a critical role in supporting daily operations at crushing pits in Black Diamond. This is a physically demanding, outdoor position suited for individuals who enjoy teamwork, working around heavy equipment, and contributing to high-production environments.

How You’ll Add Value

Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment
Support crushing operations, including working around crushers, conveyors, and screening equipment
Assist with belt clean-up, removing spillage and maintaining material flow
Perform general labour duties such as shoveling, scaling, and site clean-up
Monitor equipment and communicate any issues to the Foreman or Lead Hand
Assist with moving and organizing materials across the pit as required
Work safely around heavy equipment such as loaders, crushers, and haul trucks
Follow lockout/tagout and safe work procedures when working near equipment
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas
Assist with routine maintenance and daily cleaning of crushing equipment
Follow direction from Foremen and Lead Hands to meet production and quality targets

What You Bring

1+ years of labour experience in a construction, aggregate, or crushing environment (preferred)
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a Driver’s Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
Comfortable working around heavy equipment and in high-noise, dusty environments and operating rubber tire Loader (CAT 980)
Willing to travel and work out of town for short, fixed periods, as needed

Note: Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing will be required.
