About This Opportunity
Do you like working with and inspiring youth? Do you want to break barriers for girls and gender-diverse youth in Science, Technology, Trades, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)?
CAGIS is recruiting Chapter Coordinators (volunteer positions) for our Oakville/Mississauga chapter.
CAGIS is an award-winning not-for-profit organization that supports interest in Science, Technology, Trades, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among girls and gender-diverse youth, ages 7-17. CAGIS Chapters take members on fun, hands-on adventures to explore STEM with real experts at cool STEM locations!
As a Chapter Coordinator you would spend 8-12 hours/month volunteering by:
- helping to brainstorm, organize, and plan monthly events for members
- overseeing chapter operations
- leading the volunteer team
- communicating with member families, volunteers, and the national organization.
Many Chapter Coordinators are STEM professionals, graduate students, or have a background in teaching/working with youth. Only adults (18+) can volunteer for these positions.
