Position Summary
As a volunteer client driver, you will safely transport clients to their appointments related to their medical, financial, social, recreational and life necessities.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients
- Have a friendly conversation along the way
- Ensure that all passengers are abiding safety procedures
- Report any accidents or wellbeing, health or safety concerns
- Respect confidentiality Requirements
- A current, valid “G” driver’s license
- Apply for and provide satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check and 3-year uncertified driver’s record with at most three demerit points (costs reimbursed after two months or 20 hours of driving)
- A registered and insured vehicle
- Provide references
- Good verbal communication skills
- Compassionate understanding of the diverse life experiences of our clients
- We prefer a time commitment of an average of 2 hours per week Benefits
- Reimbursement for mileage ($0.55/km)
