About This Opportunity
As a food bank volunteer, you’ll play a key role in supporting Nourish House Food Bank by helping pack client food orders, keeping shelves stocked, organizing donations, vacuum packing large quantities into more manageable amounts, and creating a friendly, welcoming space for folks who visit us.
Must Be Able To
- Lift 40 lbs when needed
- Stand for the duration of the shift and sustain repetitive physical movements
- Adhere to required Health and Safety procedures
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Be able to stay calm and patient in fast-paced or challenging situations
- Basic computer skills, including entering data and managing appointments in
online systems
- Awareness of basic food safety practices and safe handling of food
