About This Opportunity
As a volunteer gardener, you will assist in maintaining the gardens and outdoor space including planting, weeding, and raking leaves at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, ON.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Lawn and garden maintenance: weeding, watering, raking, trimming, and planting as requested
- Work safely with proper hydration, own sturdy (closed toe and heel) footwear and clothing appropriate to the weather (e.g. hat and sunscreen)
- Work safely with equipment and gardening tools

- Minimum 16 years old
- Willing to undergo a background or police records check
- Commitment to work safely using own sturdy footwear and weather appropriate clothing
- Physical ability to garden and do yard work including pushing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Flexible, as the weather dictates the gardening schedule
