About This Opportunity
Special Olympics provides year round sport opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Volunteers are the backbone of the Special Olympics movement! Special Olympics would not exist today - and could not have been created - without the time, energy, commitment and enthusiasm of our volunteers and coaches. It's about making your community and neighborhood a more welcoming and accepting place for people of all abilities.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic coaches, and general volunteers to help run a local basketball program in Scarborough for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The program runs weekly from October - April. Occasional weekend commitment for competitions.
All volunteers 18 and over, must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check/Screening.
