About This Opportunity
Distress Centre Niagara offers an all ages online chat and text program. This service is accessible from any computer, web-based device or mobile phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Volunteer Crisis responders provide confidential one-on-one support for anyone regardless of age, issues or concerns. Distress Centre Niagara is also part of the national 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline collaborative. Volunteer responders with this position will provide written support on both our text and chat program and the 9-8-8 program as part of their monthly commitment.
This is an in-person volunteer position only. All volunteer hours must be completed at our location.
