About This Opportunity

U+ Community - Unpaid volunteer opportunity

A working link or a clear registration form can make a real difference to someone trying to join a program. As a Website & Digital Support Volunteer with U+ Community, you will help keep program pages accurate, test registration journeys and identify practical improvements to accessibility and usability.

About U+ Community

U+ Community brings volunteers together to support community programs and events. Through U+ Volunteer Connect, volunteers contribute to practical projects in program support, administration, communications and technology.

What You Will Do

  • Update assigned program pages with staff-approved dates, descriptions, contact details and other information.
  • Test registration forms and links using approved test information, recording problems and the steps needed to reproduce them.
  • Fix broken links or straightforward content issues within the access and instructions provided by staff.
  • Check headings, link labels, image descriptions and other basic accessibility features, and suggest improvements for review.
  • Document changes, retest your work and help prepare clear handover notes for the next person maintaining the page or form.

What You Bring

You are curious about how websites work and enjoy checking details from a user's point of view. Familiarity with a website editor, forms or basic web technology is helpful. You can explain a problem clearly and follow an agreed process for making changes.

What You Will Gain

Build practical experience in website maintenance, form testing and accessibility checks. See how small digital improvements help community members access information and register successfully.

Support and responsibility

Work within the permissions and review process staff provide. Use approved test data and seek authorization before publishing changes or accessing participant information.
