About the role:
Are you an LPN who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child's life? As a School Respite Nurse, you will provide individualized nursing support that helps the student feel safe, supported, and included at school and in their community. You'll work collaboratively with the family, school staff, and other healthcare professionals and be a valued member of the student's support network.
When the student is not in school, you will support our visiting nursing team in the community, making an impact beyond the classroom.
Candidates with pediatric experience are preferred.

What you'll do:
- Client assessments
- Provide primary care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Medication administration
- Wound care
- Chronic Disease Management, e.g. diabetes care and education
- Specimen collection
- Rehabilitative programs
- Palliative Care
- And many other critical nursing skills
What we're looking for:
- Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice
- Community health experience is an asset
- Must enjoy driving, have a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle
- A current and original copy of a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check is required
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
