With a rapidly expanding user base and ambitious growth plans, our client is looking for a talented Mobile Software Engineer to take ownership of its native iOS and Android applications.

About the Opportunity

As a Full Stack Mobile Software Engineer, you will lead the development, optimization, and scaling of native iOS and Android applications used by hundreds of thousands of people.

You'll work closely with the founding team and technical leadership to develop new features, improve application performance, and deliver highly responsive, animation-rich mobile experiences.

While mobile development will be your primary focus, you'll also collaborate across backend engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy new features across native iOS and Android applications.

• Take ownership of the mobile development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and App Store/Google Play releases.

• Build polished, responsive user interfaces with sophisticated animations and real-time functionality.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, stability, and security.

• Collaborate with backend engineers on API development, WebSocket integrations, and system performance.

• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and mobile release workflows.

• Integrate and maintain payment processing functionality and third-party services.

• Implement analytics tracking and leverage product data to improve user experiences.

• Monitor application health, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain reliability.

• Work directly with technical leadership to influence product development and architectural decisions.

• Contribute to backend services, infrastructure, and other engineering initiatives as required.

What We're Looking For

• Proven professional experience developing, deploying, and maintaining native mobile applications.

• Strong proficiency in Swift/SwiftUI and/or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose, with the ability to contribute across both platforms.

• Experience designing scalable mobile architectures and managing complex application state.

• Strong understanding of performance optimization, debugging, and mobile application security.

• Experience working with REST APIs and backend integrations.

• Familiarity with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Exposure to backend development; Rust experience is highly advantageous but not mandatory.

• Working knowledge of AWS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• A product-focused mindset and genuine interest in delivering exceptional user experiences.

Nice to Have

• Experience developing consumer-facing mobile applications with large user bases.

• Previous experience in startup or high-growth technology environments.

• Real-time application development using WebSockets.

• Experience integrating payment gateways or financial technology APIs.

• Familiarity with cryptocurrency payment infrastructure.

• Advanced UI animation experience using Core Animation, Jetpack Compose animations, or Lottie.

• Experience managing App Store and Google Play submission and approval processes.

• Knowledge of Git workflows, release management, and deployment automation.
