Original job description

Join Vylor - Powering the Future of Agriculture

At Vylor, we’re advancing agriculture through breakthrough science - combining elite germplasm, cutting-edge biotech, and next-generation expertise in gene editing and molecular breeding. Our portfolio includes trusted industry brands like Pioneer®, Brevant®, and Hoegemeyer®, delivering performance farmers rely on.

Join us to help scale innovation globally and shape what’s next in crop science.

Join us at Vylor for an exciting and impactful 3-month internship designed to give broad-based exposure to the day-to-day activities at a field research center. Several research centers house both plant breeding and biotech trait characterization research activities. Sharing resources across research groups facilitates more efficient integrated product development. You will get the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the research center's activities.

Position duration varies but typically lasts throughout the summer for three months.

Responsibilities - What You'll Do:

Work as part of a team in one or more of the following research areas: field plot management, plot maintenance and agronomy, seed production, harvesting and analyzing plant samples, inoculation of disease to facilitate plant pressure, and aid in data collection to support plant breeding & biotech product advancement.
Responsible for collection of high-quality field data on specific traits and pests of economic importance.
Travel to other field locations as part of the data collection process.
Assist Vylor employees located at one of our research centers.
Manage your own research project with the expectation of a verbal report to the larger intern group found throughout North America.
Gain excellent experience that can be applied to full-time positions in the industry, or in preparation for additional graduate level training in the plant sciences.

Qualifications – What You’ll Bring:

Priority will be given to students that are at least current sophomores at an accredited university. Interns can be undergraduate or graduate students.
Knowledge and experience in Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Plant Physiology, Plant Pathology, Genetics, Biology, or a related field.
Agricultural background is beneficial.
Preference will be given to students with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Must be enrolled at an accredited university at the time of internship.
Must be able to relocate to the geography of the R&D center for the duration of the internship.
Must be willing to work outside and wear appropriate PPE when required.
Creative thinking and ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Are you a good match? Apply today! We seek applicants from all backgrounds to ensure we get the best, most creative talent on our team.

The salary range for this position is $ to $.

This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.

Corteva announced to separate our current advanced seed and genetics business to establish a standalone company, operating as Vylor, Inc. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to legal requirements and board approval. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the separation, you would be an employee of Vylor, Inc. and your employment would be governed by Vylor, Inc. employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by Vylor, Inc. at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.
