Job Description
The
Intellectual Property Group is seeking a lawyer to join its
technology transactions and intellectual property practice. You will work closely with the
mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial, financing and other practice groups across the firm. More specifically:
- You will draft and negotiate licence, research and development, collaboration, co-development and technology transfer agreements, as well as other technology and intellectual property agreements;
- You will advise business clients on strategies to use, protect, enhance and commercialize intellectual property assets;
- You will conduct intellectual property audits;
- You will provide transactional support and assist with intellectual property and technology due diligence in connection with corporate and commercial transactions, financings, mergers and acquisitions;
- You will act as a strategic advisor to clients and, depending on your experience, contribute to the protection and management of their intellectual property assets;
- You will contribute to client development and to the profile of this strategic practice.

About You
- You hold a bachelor's degree in civil law and are a member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec;
- You have three to six years of relevant experience in technology transactions and intellectual property;
- You have strong experience drafting and negotiating complex technology and intellectual property agreements;
- You are able to act as a strategic advisor to business clients;
- You have excellent spoken and written French and English skills;
- You demonstrate autonomy, sound judgment, initiative and an entrepreneurial mindset;
- You have business acumen, a client-focused approach and an interest in client development;
- You have the potential and interest to take on a leadership role and contribute to the long-term succession of the practice.
