Fleet Business Developer – Outside B2B Sales

Richmond, BC | Full-Time | $90,000–$100,000 First-Year OTE + Benefits

FIELD-BASED B2B SALES ROLE

We are looking for an experienced B2B salesperson who is comfortable opening doors, selling to fleet or large commercial accounts, and having knowledgeable conversations about diesel maintenance.

Three Requirements for This Role - All three are required

Outside B2B Sales Experience You have a proven track record of selling to businesses and developing new accounts.

Fleet or Large-Account Sales Experience You have experience selling into fleet accounts or other large, complex B2B accounts and are comfortable working with longer sales cycles.

Diesel Engine Knowledge You have a solid working knowledge of diesel engines and maintenance. You do not need to be a mechanic or diesel technician.

This Role Is Not

This is not a retail sales, consumer sales, inside sales or customer service position.

What You'll Do

Develop new fleet and commercial B2B accounts
Prospect for new business through cold calling, networking, referrals and other sales activities
Build relationships with fleet managers, owners, service managers and other decision-makers
Identify customer maintenance and lubrication needs
Conduct in-person customer visits and presentations
Grow existing fleet and large accounts
Identify opportunities to expand products and services
Manage and develop a territory throughout British Columbia
Maintain accurate sales activity and customer records
Work with internal teams to support customer needs

What We're Looking For

2+ years of outside B2B sales experience
Proven experience selling into fleet accounts or large B2B accounts
Working knowledge of diesel engine maintenance
Demonstrated success developing new business
Comfortable prospecting, cold calling and opening new accounts
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
Comfortable dealing with multiple levels of decision-makers
Self-motivated and able to manage a field-based territory independently
Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle

Industry Experience

Experience in the following areas is a strong asset:

Fleet and commercial vehicles
Heavy-duty truck or trailer
Diesel parts or equipment
Automotive dealership or aftermarket
Transportation
Industrial or commercial equipment
Lubricants or maintenance products

You do not need to be a mechanic or technician. However, genuine diesel engine knowledge is required.

Compensation & Benefits

$90,000–$100,000 first-year OTE
Approximately $72,000 base salary
