Original job description

Richmond, BC | Lower Mainland Territory | Full-Time, Permanent

First-Year On-Target Earnings (OTE): $65,000–$75,000

Base Salary: $42,000–$48,000 + Commission

IMPORTANT: Recent Outside B2B Sales Experience Required

Are you a proven outside sales professional who enjoys finding new customers, building business relationships and winning new accounts?

We are looking for a Business Developer to grow a territory throughout the Lower Mainland. This is a field-based, new-business sales role for someone who knows how to prospect, approach business owners and decision-makers, develop opportunities and close sales.

You must have at least 2 years of recent, hands-on outside B2B sales experience. Experience in automotive products, automotive service, parts, maintenance or dealership sales is a strong asset.

This position is based out of our Richmond, BC office, with regular travel throughout the Lower Mainland. It is not a remote or desk-based sales role.

What You’ll Do

Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling and in-person customer visits.
Build relationships with automotive dealerships, independent repair facilities and other commercial customers.
Introduce and sell automotive maintenance products and service solutions to business customers.
Meet with business owners, service managers and other decision-makers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
Grow your territory by acquiring new accounts and developing existing customer relationships.
Conduct regular field visits, follow up on sales opportunities and close business.
Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities and pipeline information in the CRM.
Work toward sales targets and territory growth objectives.

What You Bring

At least 2 years of recent outside B2B sales experience - required.
Demonstrated experience prospecting for new business, initiating customer contact and closing sales.
Experience managing a territory and developing ongoing business relationships.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
A self-directed, persistent approach to prospecting and achieving sales targets.
A valid BC driver's license, a good driving record and a reliable personal vehicle for territory travel.
Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability for sales activity and results.

Preferred: Experience selling to automotive dealerships, repair shops, fleets or other commercial customers. Familiarity with automotive parts, service, maintenance or related products is an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary of $42,000–$48,000
First-year on-target earnings of $65,000–$75,000, based on achieving sales targets.
Monthly vehicle allowance plus mileage reimbursement.
Extended health, dental and vision benefits.
On-site parking at the Richmond office.

Is This the Right Opportunity for You?

This role is best suited to an established outside B2B sales professional who is comfortable generating leads, making in-person sales calls and building a territory through new business development.

Candidates whose experience is primarily retail sales, inside sales, customer service or administrative support will not meet the outside B2B sales requirement.

If you have a proven record of winning business customers and want to apply your sales skills in a relationship-driven industry, we encourage you to apply.
