About the Job
Are you ready to build your HR career while helping employees optimize their benefits?
As an Employee Services Advisor, you’ll focus primarily on Group Benefits plan administration while delivering responsive, accurate, and people-focused support that strengthens the employee experience.
Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, you’ll answer employee questions, support benefits enrolments and administration, maintain accurate HR data, and help programs and services run smoothly. You’ll work closely with Payroll, HR colleagues, managers, and third-party providers to resolve issues and deliver reliable service.
You’ll also contribute to employee communications, process improvements, and clear resources that help employees understand and navigate their programs.
Although Group Benefits is the role’s main focus, you’ll gain supporting exposure to Group Retirement Programs including RPP, RRSP, TFSA, and 401(k) plans, and build the knowledge needed to provide cross-coverage during team members’ absences.
If you’re organized, eager to learn, and motivated by helping people, this is an opportunity to grow your HR expertise and make a meaningful impact.
Location: Niagara Falls, Ontario
Work arrangement: Hybrid, with up to two days per week working from home.
Salary range: $54,000–$59,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
What You’ll Be Doing
Deliver employee-focused benefits support: Serve as a key point of contact for Group Benefits and the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), responding to questions and supporting enrolments, provider inquiries, and clear program communications. Provide supporting coverage for retirement plans, including RPP, RRSP, TFSA, and 401(k), and partner with Payroll, HR colleagues, and third-party providers to resolve issues.
Keep HR and payroll information accurate: Maintain employee records, payroll information, group plan portals, and HR databases. Investigate discrepancies, correct errors, prepare reports, and support payroll and year-end activities to protect data accuracy and integrity.
Manage absence records and strengthen HR systems: Maintain Oracle records for vacation, floater, volunteer, training time, and buy-vacation programs. Support system testing, reconciliations, audits, and updates so HR systems and processes run effectively.
Create clear, engaging employee communications and resources: Develop and update HR communications, training materials, instructional videos, and employee resources. Maintain platforms such as SharePoint and WorkVivo, monitor employee feedback, and collaborate with Marketing, IT, and internal teams to enhance communication and engagement.
Turn information into practical improvements: Prepare reports and analyze data for HR Business Partners and managers. Identify process improvements, assist with HR training and annual plan audits, and provide administrative support that keeps the department running smoothly.
Build your Total Rewards foundation: Start with a basic understanding of Total Rewards and build your knowledge through hands-on experience, with a primary focus on Group Benefits. Over time, develop familiarity with Group Retirement Programs to provide cross-coverage during team members’ absences, take on related responsibilities as needed, and continue growing your HR skills.
