Position Summary...A Student/Intern Optician assists in providing the Store with expertise on the ordering and dispensing of quality eyewear under the guidance of a Licensed Optician, while maintaining exemplary customer service by adhering to the 3 Basic Beliefs and values of Wal-Mart. The Student Optician is currently enrolled in the licensing program in the province of employment.
What You'll Do...
Develop the optical business through executing programs as well as promoting the Walmart brand.
Build collaborative relationships with Optometrists and other healthcare providers in Walmart and within the community.
Troubleshoot and problem solve issues to ensure excellent customer experience.
Must attend and complete all the required courses and must successfully complete all requirements for licensing within their province of practice within the time frame decided upon by the DM for professional services. Carry out other delegated tasks as outlined within regulatory frameworks.
Must be familiar with regulatory environment in their region and practice within it.
The pay range for this position is $1.00 - $50.50/hr. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.

Responsibilities
Assist with ordering and dispensing quality eyewear under the guidance of a Licensed Optician while providing excellent customer service. Requirements
Applicants must be at least 16 and currently enrolled in the optician licensing program in the province of employment. They must complete required courses and licensing requirements within the timeframe set by the District Manager, and practice in accordance with regional regulations.
