Position Summary...
As the Senior Director, Associate Experience & Talent, you will lead the strategy and execution of programs and initiatives that strengthen organizational capability, enhance the associate experience, and support Walmart Canada's growth agenda. You will serve as a strategic advisor to executive leaders, leveraging workforce insights, talent strategies, and people programs to drive business performance and build a culture where associates can thrive.
This leader will oversee enterprise Talent Acquisition, the in-market delivery of global Talent Management and Walmart Academy programs, Belonging initiatives, and Employment Practices, ensuring a consistent and impactful associate experience across the associate lifecycle.
What you'll do...
- Lead Walmart Canada's integrated Associate Experience & Talent portfolio, bringing together Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Walmart Academy, Belonging, and Employment Practices to deliver a seamless and engaging associate experience.
- Shape and execute talent and associate experience strategies that strengthen organizational capability, support business growth, and enable Walmart Canada's people priorities.
- Set the strategic direction for Employment Practices, ensuring policies, standards, and decision frameworks are fair, consistent, compliant, and aligned with Walmart Canada’s values.
- Advise senior leaders on complex employment matters and emerging workforce risks, using insights and trends to strengthen governance, leader capability, and associate experience.
- Champion a culture of belonging, trust, and inclusion by ensuring people practices enhance associate engagement, development, and retention.
- Partner with senior leaders to develop workforce strategies, identify future talent needs, and build the leadership and capability pipelines required for long-term success.
- Drive the localization, adoption, and business impact of global Talent Management and Walmart Academy programs, ensuring they effectively meet the needs of the Canadian market.
- Provide strategic leadership for Talent Acquisition, advancing innovative approaches to attraction, assessment, selection, employer branding, and workforce planning.
- Leverage workforce insights, talent analytics, and market trends to inform decision-making, measure impact, and continuously improve organizational effectiveness.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on talent, workforce, and associate experience matters.
What You'll Bring
- Progressive senior leadership experience across Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development, or Associate Experience functions.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-wide talent and workforce strategies.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational change.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional teams and delivering business outcomes through people strategies.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
