Position Summary:

We are looking for a Financial Controller to support this growth. This is a key role offering strong visibility within the organization and direct exposure to senior leadership, acquisitions, and several financial and operational improvement projects.

Reporting to the Director, Acquisitions and Strategic Finance, the Financial Controller will be responsible for preparing monthly financial reports and overseeing accounting activities. The incumbent will also participate in budgeting processes, financial forecasting, year-end audits, and the financial integration of acquired companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee general accounting activities, including the preparation of journal entries and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
Participate in the monthly and annual closing process, as well as the preparation of financial statements and management reports for leadership.
Supervise a team of accounting technicians.
Participate in the accounting and finance integration of our various acquisitions in order to help achieve growth and cost-reduction synergies.
Liaise with managers and provide them with the financial information needed to effectively manage costs related to their departments.
Work closely with the Director, Consolidation & Treasury to provide all information required for tax return preparation.
Participate in the budgeting process and quarterly financial forecast updates.
Prepare the year-end audit file and participate in any other tax audits.
Contribute to business process improvements related to efficiency and controls.
Oversee transactions with affiliated companies and reconcile the related accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Participate in various special projects within the Finance department and in collaboration with other departments.

Requirements and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA designation.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience. Audit experience is an asset.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English due to interactions with internal and external international clients.
Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Experience using ERP and BI systems such as Tecsys, D365, and Sigma.
Accuracy and strong attention to detail while working under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical skills and ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
Strong ability to identify problems and find solutions.
Ability to supervise, engage, and develop a team.

Sommaire du poste :

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un contrôleur financier pour soutenir cette croissance. Il s’agit d’un rôle clé offrant une grande visibilité au sein de l’organisation et une exposition directe à la haute direction, aux acquisitions et à plusieurs projets d’amélioration financière et opérationnelle.

Relevant du Directeur, Acquisitions et finances stratégiques, le contrôleur financier sera responsable de la préparation des rapports financiers mensuels et de la supervision des activités comptables. Il participera également aux processus budgétaires, aux prévisions financières, aux audits de fin d’exercice ainsi qu’à l’intégration financière des sociétés acquises.

Principales responsabilités:

Superviser les activités de comptabilité générale, incluant la préparation des écritures comptables et les conciliations mensuelles des comptes de bilan.
Participer au processus de clôture mensuelle et annuelle ainsi qu’à la préparation des états financiers et des rapports de gestion destinés à la direction.
Superviser une équipe de techniciens comptables.
Participer à l’intégration de nos différentes acquisitions au niveau de la comptabilité et des finances afin de contribuer à la réalisation des synergies de croissance et de réduction de coûts.
Assurer la liaison avec les gestionnaires et leur fournir toutes les informations financières nécessaires pour les aider à gérer efficacement les coûts reliés à leur département.
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le Directeur, Consolidation & Trésorerie afin de lui fournir toutes les informations nécessaires à la préparation des déclarations d’impôt.
Participer au processus budgétaire ainsi qu’aux mises à jour trimestriels des prévisions financières.
Préparer le dossier de vérification de fin d’année et participer à toutes autres vérifications fiscales.
Participer à l’amélioration des processus d’affaires au niveau de l’efficacité et des contrôles.
Superviser les transactions avec les compagnies affiliées et concilier les comptes à recevoir et à payer y afférents.
Participer à divers projets spéciaux au sein du département des Finances et en collaboration avec les autres départements.

Exigences et compétences:

Baccalauréat en comptabilité et titre professionnel CPA.
Minimum 3 années d’expérience en comptabilité. L’expérience en vérification est un atout.
Excellente connaissance de Microsoft Excel.
Excellentes aptitudes en communication, écrites et verbales, en français et en anglais dû aux interactions avec des clients internes-externes à l’internationale.
Bonne connaissance des normes comptables internationales IFRS.
Expérience avec l’utilisation de systèmes PGI (ERP) et de BI, tels que Tecsys, D365 et Sigma.
Précision et souci du détail tout en travaillant dans des délais serrés.
Excellent esprit d'analyse et bonne capacité à gérer divers projets de front.
