Work Environment: We offer a hybrid work environment that offers flexibility to our employees in balancing in-office (2 days per week OR 15 hours per week in a Wawanesa office) and remote work. Salary: At Wawanesa, salary is only one component of a holistic, comprehensive and competitive offering that we provide to our employees. In addition to salary, full-time and part-time permanent employees are eligible for an annual bonus plan, leave of absence top-up programs and provided with generous vacation time, personal days, premium free benefits and pension plan.

The salary offered for this role is determined with consideration to various factors, including but not limited to: your work location, local labour market conditions, external market salary data, internal pay equity and the knowledge, skills, experience and anticipated proficiency in the role. The salary offered is estimated to be within the following range: $125,000 - $150,000. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are still encouraged to apply.

Job Overview

Manager, Learning & Talent OperationsReporting to the Director, People & Talent Strategy, the Manager, Learning & Talent Operations is a key leadership role within People & Talent Strategy, helping turn Wawanesa’s people strategy into meaningful programs, experiences, and outcomes that build capability across the organization. The role leads a team and partners across the business to shape and deliver high-impact learning, leadership development, and talent management initiatives that build capability, strengthen leadership consistency, create career opportunities, and help employees adapt as work evolves.

Job Responsibilities

Shape and execute priority People Strategy initiatives, including leadership development, talent management, and enterprise learning.Lead, coach, develop, and manage the performance of the Learning & Talent Operations team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and service-oriented team culture.
Manage talent management practices and deliverables, including talent reviews, succession planning, leadership pipeline visibility, talent insights, follow-up actions, and reporting that strengthen internal readiness.
Lead the design, delivery, facilitation, and continuous improvement of programs, leadership development initiatives, talent processes, and enterprise capability-building experiences.
Collaborate with People leaders, HRBPs, functional leaders, and business stakeholders to understand enterprise needs, set priorities, align plans, and deliver practical solutions that improve employee and leader experience.
Drive execution of priorities through strong governance, clear plans, disciplined delivery, risk management, and outcome reporting.
Use data, feedback, and insights to assess program effectiveness, identify risks and opportunities, recommend improvements, and support evidence-based decisions on learning and talent investments.
Manage vendor relationships, including service expectations, issue resolution, and contract inputs.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

7-10 years of progressive experience in learning, talent management, employee development, or related disciplines, including experience leading enterprise-wide programs or initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Adult Education or a related field.
Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
Strong knowledge of learning, leadership development, talent management, succession planning, and employee development practices.
Strong program and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and competing deadlines.
Ability to translate strategic priorities into practical, scalable programs, processes, and solutions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with experience using data and insights to inform recommendations and continuous improvement.
Excellent relationship-building, communication, facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
