ABOUT THE ROLE
The AI Automation & Software Engineer designs, builds, and supports AI, automation, and software solutions for both customer environments and WBM's internal operations. You'll work across cloud, automation, integration, and AI technologies to deliver secure, scalable solutions that solve real business challenges.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
AI & Automation Solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain automation and orchestration workflows using platforms such as n8n, UiPath, Azure services, and related technologies.
- Build intelligent automation solutions that streamline business processes, improve service delivery, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop AI-powered workflows and conversational experiences that integrate with collaboration tools, communication channels, and business applications.
- Prototype and deploy innovative AI agents and automation solutions that support new service offerings and internal operational improvements.
Software Engineering & Integration
- Develop and support reusable applications, services, APIs, and integrations for customer and internal environments.
- Build scalable cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and modern DevOps practices.
- Design integrations between enterprise systems, AI platforms, managed services tools, and business applications.
- Create reusable software components that can be consistently deployed across multiple customer environments.
Data & AI Engineering
- Design and implement data ingestion, collection, and processing pipelines.
- Prepare and optimize structured and unstructured data for analytics, search, and AI-driven use cases.
- Support retrieval, indexing, vectorization, and knowledge management solutions that enhance AI capabilities.
- Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for data-driven automation and intelligent decision-making.
Operational Excellence
- Own end-to-end solution quality through testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Implement observability, security, governance, and lifecycle management practices for production environments.
- Support operational transition into WBM Managed Services and ensure long-term maintainability of delivered solutions.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, service delivery, and customer teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Required
- 5+ years of software engineering, automation, integration, or data engineering experience.
- Strong development experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, APIs, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with automation and orchestration platforms such as n8n or UiPath.
- Experience working with AI models, LLMs, prompt engineering, and agent-based workflows.
- Experience with Azure applications, CI/CD, monitoring, and production environments.
- Strong understanding of application security and secure development practices.
Preferred
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, ServiceNow, or ConnectWise.
- Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, vector databases, and data modelling.
- Experience with Azure App Services and AKS.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Knowledge of ITIL and managed services operations.
