About the role

This role owns the partnerships behind how we reward Wealthsimple clients for their everyday spend and deepen their relationship with us. You'll own our perks and rewards ecosystem end to end: credit card partnerships, Milestone Rewards, Wealthsimple Offers, and the credit card cashback marketplace. The job is to turn these programs into a reason clients bring more of their financial lives to us, measured in adoption, consolidation, and engagement. You'll source, negotiate, and launch partnerships with some of the biggest brands in the country, and you'll build a lot of it from scratch. This is a builder's seat for someone who's done perks and rewards before and wants to own the function end to end.

In this role you'll have the opportunity to:

Own credit card partnerships end to end: source, negotiate, and land partner-funded, card-native perks with national, household-name brands.
Grow Wealthsimple Offers and the credit card cashback marketplace: build the roster across our top spend categories (travel, telecom, insurance, entertainment, grocery, transportation) and drive client adoption and redemption.
Own Milestone Rewards: shape the mechanics and partner mix, and make the calls on when to revamp, expand, or retire.
Lead commercial negotiations from first outreach to signed terms, landing economics that work for both our clients and the business.
Turn card and marketplace data into a pipeline: find where the spend, the frequency, and the client value actually are, then go win those partners.
Partner cross-functionally with Growth, PMM, Brand, Product, and data to launch, measure, and scale each program.
Own the targets: offers live, unique clients engaging, redemption rates, and perks live per quarter, all tied to adoption, consolidation, and engagement.

Skills you'll bring:

7-10 years of relevant experience in consulting, partnerships, and/or product-adjacent roles in banking or customer-focused industries.
Perks and rewards experience. You've built or run a perks, rewards, or loyalty program before. This is the core of the role and we're looking for someone who's lived it, not read about it.
Negotiation and commercial ownership. A master negotiator with a track record of driving commercial outcomes, hitting targets, and turning partnerships into value.
Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to assess trade-offs, economics, and scalability, and real comfort in spend and redemption data.
Strategic partnership execution. Demonstrated experience developing and executing partnerships that require coordination across multiple stakeholders and functions.
A 0-to-1 operator. Experience launching, building, or scaling programs in a new market with a high degree of autonomy.
High urgency, strong ownership, and a bias for action.

Nice to haves:

Credit card, card-linked offer, interchange, or payments experience. If you've worked on card perks or a card-linked marketplace, we especially want to talk.
A loyalty pedigree: experience at a fintech, a financial institution, or a consumer brand with a serious loyalty program.
Hands-on data skills: SQL or a BI tool (Looker, Preset, Tableau, or similar) to interrogate spend and redemption yourself.
