Business Development Representative – Physical Security Solutions

A leading national provider of physical security solutions is continuing to expand its commercial presence across Canada. The organization helps businesses protect their people, property, and assets through fully integrated security solutions designed for commercial and enterprise environments. Their expertise spans CCTV and video surveillance systems, access control, intrusion detection, live monitoring, and security workforce solutions, supporting clients across retail, industrial, logistics, healthcare, property management, and corporate sectors.

With a reputation for delivering customized, end-to-end security solutions, the company partners with organizations to design, install, and maintain scalable security systems that meet evolving operational and compliance needs. As demand for physical security continues to grow, the company is investing in expanding its sales organization with driven business development professionals who are passionate about building relationships, winning new business, and helping clients strengthen their security posture.

This is a high-impact, hunter-style sales and business development role focused on generating new business and expanding revenue across physical security solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive, outbound-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable owning the full top-of-funnel process. You will work closely with a third-party marketing partner to capitalize on inbound and marketing-generated leads while independently driving outreach through cold calling, warm calling, networking, and strategic prospecting. Your focus will be building pipeline, opening doors with new commercial clients, and closing opportunities across CCTV, access control, surveillance, live monitoring, and security services.

Responsibilities

Drive new business development through cold calling, warm outreach, networking, and follow-up on marketing-generated leads.
Partner closely with an external marketing agency to convert qualified leads into sales opportunities.
Prospect and develop new commercial accounts across a variety of industries.
Sell integrated physical security solutions, including CCTV, video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
Develop and close opportunities for live monitoring services and security guard staffing solutions.
Conduct discovery calls, client meetings, site assessments, and solution presentations with key decision-makers.
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while managing opportunities through the full sales cycle.
Develop long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services and solutions.
Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity, and sales forecasting.

Qualifications

Proven success in outbound sales, business development, or new logo acquisition.
Strong background selling physical security solutions is required.
Experience selling CCTV, video surveillance, access control, alarm systems, live monitoring, or security guard services is highly preferred.
Demonstrated success with cold calling, prospecting, and generating new business opportunities.
Comfortable managing both self-generated pipeline and marketing-generated leads.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven with a hunter mentality.
Experience selling into commercial or enterprise clients is a strong asset.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment with in-office collaboration a few days per week.

Compensation

Base salary: $80,000 – $100,000
Uncapped commission based on new business closed.
Hybrid work schedule with in-office collaboration.
