We’re seeking an experienced Director of Social + Influencer Strategy. Your authenticity will shape every decision - from campaign concepts to influencer selection, priority social channels to copy. At the intersection of creative, strategy, storytelling, and production, your lifestyle IS your qualification.

This is a subject-matter expert role combining strategic planning, hands-on campaign management, and thought leadership across our agency. You'll partner with account leadership to build integrated strategies that drive measurable results and advance our capabilities in the social and influencer space.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy + Planning

Develop integrated social and influencer strategies for diverse clients across multiple sectors, translating business objectives into data-driven recommendations
Conduct competitive and audience insights analysis to inform creator selection, platform strategy, and content approaches
Build strategic frameworks for paid vs. earned influencer activation, balancing reach, engagement, and authenticity
Lead quarterly strategy reviews and optimize tactics based on performance data and emerging trends

Execution & Campaign Management

Oversee end-to-end campaign execution, from creator briefing and content development through performance reporting and optimization
Manage influencer relationships, vetting, contracting, and ongoing partnership optimization
Direct content strategy across owned social channels, ensuring brand consistency and audience resonance
Build and maintain media and influencer databases; nurture key relationships for future opportunities

Client & Stakeholder Management

Serve as primary strategic advisor to account teams and clients on social and influencer opportunities
Present insights, recommendations, and campaign results to senior stakeholders; articulate business impact and ROI
Translate client briefs into strategic recommendations and creative briefs for execution teams
Identify proactive and expansion opportunities within existing accounts

Subject Matter Expertise

Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, influencer landscape shifts, and best practices
Share knowledge across the agency through workshops, internal training, and thought leadership
Contribute to new business pitches, case studies, and award submissions
Build proprietary tools, methodologies, or frameworks that strengthen our social and influencer capabilities

Key Qualifications

8+ years of agency experience in social media strategy, influencer marketing, or integrated communications, preferably within an agency environment
Proven track record developing and executing successful influencer and social campaigns for major brands across multiple categories
Deep knowledge of social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) and influencer ecosystem dynamics
Strong analytical skills - ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend optimization
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex strategies simply
Project management skills; experience managing multiple clients/campaigns simultaneously
Experience building and managing relationships with creators (including strong negotiation skills), media, clients, agencies and other partners
Strategic thinking with ability to balance creative vision and measurable results
Familiarity with a broad set of social media and influencer analytics tools
Detail-oriented, multi-tasker with excellent time-management skills
Experience leading a team is an asset
Bonus: you have experience in the B2B and LinkedIn influencer space
