About the Role

Reporting administratively to the Schedule Manager, the Senior Scheduler plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates the time and sequence delivery of the project's critical-path construction works, including Cosburn Station, Mechanical and Electrical (MEP) works, and System Assurance and Test & Commissioning.
Job Duties

- Prepare resource- and manhour-loaded schedule forecasts and time-cost impact valuations supporting prolongation, extension-of-time, and change-impact positions, and feed cost-to-complete and budget forecasting; monitor cost and earned-value performance through scheduling-dashboard reporting
- Track and control project performance against the accepted baseline using critical-path and float analysis, productivity forecasting, and earned-schedule variance reporting; trigger and lead recovery action on adverse trends
- Evaluate the schedule and time impact of contract changes, extension-of-time claims, and interface-milestone agreements in accordance with contract terms; prepare the schedule and time-impact basis of the joint venture's contractual change and claim positions and the Planning & Reporting provisions of subcontract agreements
- Develop and implement the project's schedule quality-control program, defining methodology, logic, and submission standards; audit internal and subcontractor schedule deliverables for compliance and enforce corrective revisions
- Represent the joint venture on schedule and progress matters for critical-path activities in formal meetings with subcontractors, Metrolinx, and other project stakeholders
- Produce and submit period progress schedules, schedule narratives, critical-path and earned-schedule analyses, and performance reports to Metrolinx in line with contract reporting obligations
- Identify required procurement start timing for each work package from the construction sequence and critical-path requirements, and advise the Procurement Manager accordingly
- Direct and supervise the schedule-production activities of subcontractor planning staff and internal discipline-team members across civil, MEP, systems, and Test & Commissioning scopes, assigning standards, reviewing and approving deliverables, and enforcing corrective action
Work experience:
- English written/spoken is required

- Minimum 8 years of progressive construction scheduling and project controls experience on large-scale infrastructure, rail, or industrial projects
