About the Job
The Indirect Costs Estimator builds the non-direct cost components of the bid: project staffing, site establishment, temporary facilities, general conditions, insurance, bonding, design management and other time-related and fixed costs. On mega-projects, indirects can represent a major share of the total bid price, so this role directly affects competitiveness.
What You Will Be Doing?
- Develop project organization charts and staffing plans with durations, and cost them using Webuild salary and burden rates
- Estimate site establishment and temporary works: offices, laydown areas, compounds, site utilities, hoarding, security, traffic management and staging
- Price general conditions and time-related costs linked to the bid schedule
- Estimate project-wide costs such as insurance, bonding, permits, quality, health and safety, environmental management, community relations, IT and document control
- Coordinate design management, third-party review, and owner/consortium interface costs
- Model escalation, financing-related costs and cash flow inputs where required
- Align indirect costs with the bid schedule and update them as the schedule and execution strategy evolve
- Support risk quantification and contingency modelling (Monte Carlo or similar)
- Prepare clear documentation of indirect cost assumptions for internal review and consortium partners
What We Are Looking For?
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field
- 7+ years of experience in estimating or project controls on large civil or transit projects
- Strong understanding of how major infrastructure projects are staffed and run, from mobilization through closeout
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with estimating software and cost modelling
- Understanding of P3 and design-build commercial structures and risk allocation
- CIQS (PQS), AACE (CCP/CEP) or similar designation is an asset
Compensation:
Successful candidates chosen for this position can expect to earn between $80,000-$100,000. The exact salary you will earn within this range is dependent on the specific project to which you are assigned.
