Position
Personal Support Worker in London, ON.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 14:45-16:45
General Duties (specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)
- Provide G/GJ tube care and management
- Maintain child's records and required documentation
- Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
- Observe and report on changes in child's condition to guardian and WeeCare
- Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids
- Demonstrate understanding of child’s needs and maximize abilities
- Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child/parent/guardian
- Respond to child/parent/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
- Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including child’s equipment and belongings
- Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting child’s safety, incidents, and accidents
- Complete all other tasks as assigned
- Graduate of a certified Personal Support Worker program
- Experience working with pediatric clients
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the past 6 months

Responsibilities
Provide pediatric home care, including G/GJ tube management, personal care, hygiene, mobility assistance, and support with daily activities. Document care, monitor and report changes or safety concerns, and provide consistent emotional and social support to the child and family.
Requirements
Applicants must graduate from a certified Personal Support Worker program and have experience working with pediatric clients. A current Basic Life Support certification and a Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past six months are required.
