Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Victoria, BC, responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects from initiation to completion. Day-to-day tasks include defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and managing resources to ensure milestones are met. The Project Manager will monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders through status reports and meetings. This role also involves overseeing expediting activities, inspections, and logistics coordination to ensure materials, services, and documentation are delivered on time and in compliance with project requirements. The Project Manager will continuously seek process improvements and support a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience in expeditor and expediting functions, ensuring timely delivery of materials, documentation, and services.
- Knowledge of inspection processes and quality control practices to verify compliance with project and regulatory standards.
- Logistics management skills, including coordination of shipments, scheduling, and inventory tracking.
- Relevant post-secondary education in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Excel, or similar platforms).
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or related credentials are an asset.
