Company Description Welco Expediting Ltd. supplies process equipment solutions for mining, mineral processing, bulk material handling, and water/wastewater applications. The company specializes in handling demanding industrial processes such as slurry pumping, hydrocyclone separation, vibratory screening, and metal detection and separation. Its portfolio also includes sampling systems, pneumatic conveying systems, centrifugal separation, knife gate valves, belt filter presses, and crushing and sizing solutions. Welco supports customers with water intake systems and Coanda screens, offering high-performance products backed by technical expertise and field experience. Team members collaborate with industrial clients to deliver reliable, efficient equipment solutions tailored to complex operating environments.
Role Description The Territory Development Representative is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area, with a mix of on-site client visits and some work-from-home flexibility. This role focuses on growing assigned territories by identifying and qualifying new leads, nurturing relationships with existing customers, and supporting the sales team in developing opportunities. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching prospective clients and projects, making outbound calls and emails, scheduling meetings, and providing timely follow-up on inquiries. The Territory Development Representative will maintain accurate records in CRM systems, prepare basic quotes or proposals in collaboration with technical and sales staff, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified opportunities. The role also involves learning Welco’s product lines, attending occasional site visits or industry events, and representing the company professionally in all customer interactions.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess skills in Lead Generation and Sales to identify prospects, qualify opportunities, and support territory growth.
Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage with clients, address inquiries, and build long-term relationships.
Candidates should possess Research skills to investigate markets, projects, and customer needs and to support prospecting activities.
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency with CRM or sales enablement tools and basic Microsoft Office or similar productivity software.
Candidates should have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable with occasional travel within the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area.
Candidates should bring prior experience in industrial, mining, or equipment sales or business development; post-secondary education in business, engineering, or a related field is an asset.
Candidates should show a self-directed work style, ability to manage multiple priorities, and willingness to learn technical product information.
