We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to oversee quality control across our structural steel and piping fabrication operations. This role bridges hands-on shop-floor inspection with rigorous quality compliance and audit documentation.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections for structural steel and piping fabrication
- Inspect raw materials, fit-up, dimensions, welding, and finished fabrications
- Review fabrication drawings, specifications, weld symbols, MTRs, COCs, and material traceability records
- Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection forms, checklists, ITPs, NCRs, and corrective action documentation
- Manage welding documentation (WPS / PQR / WPQ) and weld inspection records
- Handle pressure and piping inspection and testing documentation (strong asset)
- Support and prepare for internal, customer, and third-party quality audits
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of CWB and TSSA standards in a shop-floor environment
Ideal Candidate Profile:
-Proven experience balancing shop-floor quality inspection with quality documentation and auditing
- Strong background in structural steel, piping, welding, or custom metal fabrication environments
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify, document, and resolve quality issues
