Senior Manager - Business Development Team
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 base + Commission (OTE ~$145,000)
Department: Sales
Reports To: VP of Sales
Location: Hybrid (Thornhill, ON)(in-office 2-3 times per week)

About You:

We’re looking for a hands-on, results-driven Outbound Sales Manager to lead and develop our BDR team. You’ll coach performance, drive consistent pipeline generation, set clear expectations, and use data to identify opportunities for improvement.

You’ll lead by example, bringing a strong understanding of outbound prospecting across cold calling, email, and social channels. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Enablement, and Revenue Operations, you’ll help strengthen our outbound strategy, improve processes, and support continued revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

Lead the BDR team in our Canadian office, providing strategic direction, coaching, and day-to-day leadership to drive consistent performance and pipeline generation.
Set team goals, activity expectations, and quotas, and monitor performance against key metrics and pipeline targets.
Coach and develop BDRs across outbound prospecting channels, including cold calling, email, SMS, LinkedIn, and other social channels.
Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies in partnership with Sales and Marketing leadership to generate qualified opportunities and support revenue growth.
Ensure the team can clearly articulate WellnessLiving’s value proposition, identify prospect needs, and generate interest in product demonstrations.
Conduct regular coaching sessions, call reviews, pipeline reviews, and performance discussions to reinforce best practices and improve individual and team results.
Monitor pipeline health and performance metrics, including conversion rates, deal progression, win/loss analysis, and forecast accuracy.
Maintain data hygiene across pipelines and CRM systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and minimal duplication.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Enablement, Product, and Revenue teams to drive pipeline growth and revenue outcomes.
Provide clear reporting and performance insights to sales leadership to support forecasting, planning, and decision-making.
Build and maintain outbound sales playbooks, processes, workflows, and documentation that support consistent execution and faster onboarding.
Build and maintain clear documentation for processes, workflows, and campaign operations.
Identify operational bottlenecks and opportunities for process improvement; implement scalable solutions to optimize efficiency.
Oversee lead management processes, including capture, scoring, routing, and lifecycle progression through marketing automation.
Mentor and develop team members while fostering a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative team culture.

Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of progressive experience in a BDR, SDR, outbound sales, or similar role, with demonstrated success generating pipeline and achieving measurable sales targets.
Previous experience managing BDRs, SDRs, or other sales professionals is preferred; high-performing Team Leads with strong coaching and mentorship experience will also be considered.
Experience within a B2B SaaS environment is strongly preferred.
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop sales professionals while setting clear expectations and driving accountability.
Strong understanding of outbound prospecting strategies and best practices across cold calling, email, social selling, and other outreach channels.
Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed individual and team performance goals.
Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and adapt quickly as priorities evolve.
Willingness to lead by example, including proficiency in cold calling to demonstrate effective techniques to the team.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner effectively across Sales, Marketing, Enablement, and other teams.
Experience with CRM, sales engagement, and conversation intelligence platforms; familiarity with Salesforce, Outreach, and Gong is an asset.
