This role includes direct collaboration with the Project Manager and company leadership to help build structured estimating processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Bid Development: Prepare and submit competitive proposals and tender packages.
Preconstruction Support: Participate in design and value engineering reviews.
Process Development: Create and implement estimating standards, templates, and procedures to formalize an internal estimating system.
Project Coordination: Assist the Project Manager with scheduling, scope review, budgeting, and subcontractor alignment.
Client & Subcontractor Communication: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and availability.
Document Management: Maintain detailed estimate records, assumptions, and project documentation.

Qualifications

5+ years experience in estimating in the construction industry.
Proficient with estimating tools (e.g. Bluebeam, Excel, or cloud-based estimating software).
Familiarity with construction drawings, scopes, and industry pricing.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience developing or improving internal systems or workflows is an asset
A diploma/degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred

Perks and Benefits

Flexible work arrangements
Competitive compensation ($30-$50 per hour)
Opportunity to shape and lead estimating processes
Collaborative and professional work environment.

Application Process

If you’re a proactive, detail-oriented construction professional who thrives in a small team environment and wants to help build something from the ground up, we want to hear from you.

Please send your application to Careers@WestSixth.ca . Kindly note that only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
