Original job description

Westfreight Systems Inc. is a Canadian-owned transportation company that has been leading the ever-changing transportation industry since its incorporation in June 1989. Starting with one tractor-trailer unit, Westfreight has grown to operate more than 100 power units across five terminals throughout Canada and the United States.

Our success has been built on providing knowledgeable service, strong leadership, and a diverse range of transportation solutions, including truckload, LTL, and over-dimensional freight.

We are currently seeking an experienced Owner Operator Team (2 Drivers) interested in running dedicated U.S. flat deck lanes. This opportunity requires two qualified Class 1A drivers operating one highway-spec tractor with a 53' flat deck trailer. Both drivers must possess either a valid TWIC Card or FAST Card to meet customer requirements for cross-border freight. Can be located in Calgary or Edmonton.

If you are looking for consistent miles, year-round freight, and a company committed to supporting its Owner Operators, we encourage you to apply.

What We Offer

Attractive percentage-based pay package
$2,000 Hiring Bonus* (conditions apply)
$2,000 Driver Referral Bonus* (conditions apply)
Company-supplied fuel card with industry-leading fuel discounts
Stable year-round freight throughout Canada and the United States
Experienced dispatch team providing 24/7 support
Comprehensive benefits plan for you and your family

What You Bring

Two professional Class 1A Drivers operating as a team
Positive CAN-DO attitude and commitment to customer service
Strong safety-focused approach to all job duties
Minimum two (2) years of highway driving experience per driver
Minimum one (1) year of flat deck or step deck experience per driver
Highway-spec tractor
53' flat deck trailer
Valid TWIC Card or FAST Card for each driver
Clean driver's abstracts with no suspensions
Ability for both drivers to cross the Canada/U.S. border
Ability for both drivers to successfully complete a criminal record check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

We are an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity in the workplace and welcome applications from qualified women, men, visible minorities, aboriginal people and persons with disabilities.
