Brake Press Operator
Location: Guelph, Ontario

Armtec is looking for a Brake Press Operator to join our production team in Guelph, Ontario. In this hands-on role, you'll operate and set up brake press equipment to manufacture quality metal components while helping ensure our products meet the high standards our customers expect.

What You'll Do
As a Brake Press Operator, you will:
- Set up and operate brake press equipment to manufacture quality products that meet company specifications.
- Change tooling and dies to support production requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
- Complete quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
- Perform daily machine inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
- Keep equipment clean, well-maintained, and operating efficiently.
- Identify minor equipment issues and perform basic adjustments or corrective actions.
- Complete production records and quality documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with your supervisor and teammates to meet production goals.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is dependable and safety-focused
Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience, preferably in metal fabrication or metal forming.
- Experience operating and programming a brake press is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience operating a forklift and overhead crane is an asset (training and certification provided if required).
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Experience with plasma cutting and welding is considered an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor equipment adjustments and routine maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and following established procedures.
