Quality Assurance / Quality Control Technician

At Armtec, product quality starts with careful testing, accurate results, and people who take pride in their work. We are looking for a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Technician to support our plastic pipe manufacturing operations.
In this hands-on role, you will test materials and products, help identify quality concerns, and work with our production team to maintain consistent standards. If you enjoy laboratory work and seeing how your findings contribute to the finished product, we would like to hear from you.
What you’ll do
- Test raw materials, in-process products, and finished products using established procedures.
- Analyze results, identify trends or concerns, and communicate findings to production and other relevant teams.
- Maintain accurate, detailed testing records to support quality decisions and traceability.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, keeping the laboratory clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Investigate testing or equipment issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Help develop and update standard operating procedures and test methods.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain familiarity with applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Follow safe work procedures and good laboratory practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
What you bring
- A diploma or degree from a minimum two-year program in chemistry, polymer technology, or a related field.
- Relevant quality assurance or laboratory experience, including testing plastic materials in a pipe manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with applicable industry quality standards, testing methods, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a careful approach to accuracy and documentation.
- Experience using statistical analysis and quality control charts.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain test results to colleagues.
- The ability to work independently, collaborate with a team, and manage priorities in a busy manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory software.
