Sales Representative – Montreal South Shore

Armtec Inc. is seeking a Sales Representative to cover the Montreal South Shore and surrounding territories, including Montérégie, Centre-du-Québec and Estrie.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term business relationships with customers within the assigned territory. The successful candidate will also contribute to continuously growing the customer base by developing consultative sales relationships with contractors, distributors, engineering consulting firms and municipalities.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-person consultative sales activities with company accounts, including existing and prospective customers within the industry, such as contractors, distributors, engineering consulting firms and municipalities.
Ensure that all communications with existing and prospective customers are documented in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Develop and retain new customers through networking and interactions within the territory.
Conduct prospecting and courtesy calls, as well as presentations to prospective customers.
Participate in the annual preparation and finalization of the sales budget for the assigned territory.
Participate in activities related to the agricultural, hardware and infrastructure sectors, including open houses, golf tournaments, conferences and training sessions.
Continuously analyze and evaluate sales growth opportunities within the territory, including the acquisition of new accounts.
Provide technical support to contractors on job sites.
Provide design support and guidance to engineering consulting firms.
Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure ongoing support and service.
Provide market intelligence to support the development of new products.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in agriculture, construction trades, infrastructure, communications, business administration, engineering or a related field from a college or university.
Sales and/or marketing experience, ideally in the manufacturing of products for the agricultural, construction or infrastructure sectors, or in a technically related field.
Proficiency with common computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint and CRM systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization and build long-term business relationships.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to effectively plan and manage workload and priorities on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
Valid driver’s licence and availability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
