Original job description

Richmond, BC | Full-Time, Permanent | On-Site

Keep The Operations Moving, From Dock to Delivery

The best manufacturing teams run on accuracy, accountability, and people who take pride in getting things right.

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on team member who enjoys keeping materials organized, orders accurate, and production running smoothly.

If you like work where you can see the results of your effort, enjoy being part of a team, and want to build a career in manufacturing and operations, this is a great opportunity.

This is not a single-task warehouse role. It’s a cross-trained position supporting both warehouse and production, where quality, safety, and problem-solving matter as much as speed.

Why This Role Matters

In a manufacturing environment, the right material in the right place at the right time makes the difference between smooth production and costly delays.

This role exists to make sure that happens. By keeping inventory accurate, materials available, and shipments correct and on time, you’ll directly support their ability to deliver high-quality equipment to customers around the world.

About Our Client

They design and manufacture high-performance mixers and agitators for industrial process applications worldwide. Their customers operate in energy, chemicals, water treatment, mining, and natural resources.

Their strength goes beyond the equipment itself. They focus on understanding our customers’ processes and delivering engineered solutions that improve operational performance and create measurable value.

As they continue to grow, they’re investing in the systems, processes, and people needed to strengthen their market presence. They’re looking for team members who are careful, collaborative, and committed to doing things the right way.

What You’ll Own

You’ll receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, making sure quantities, documentation, and quality meet company requirements.
You’ll store and organize inventory so the warehouse runs efficiently and production always has what it needs.
You’ll pick, stage, kit, and issue materials for manufacturing, assembly, and customer orders.
You’ll prepare, package, verify, and load outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with packaging requirements.
You’ll perform receiving and pre-shipment quality checks and flag damaged or non-conforming materials.
You’ll work with the Production Coordinator and Supply Chain Specialist to resolve material, inventory, and shipment issues.
You’ll assist with annual inventory audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
You’ll pitch in on assembly and other operational activities as needed.
Most importantly, you’ll help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by following safety procedures and reporting hazards.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role is measured by accuracy, reliability, and teamwork.

You’ll know you’re succeeding when:

Inventory records match what’s on the shelf
Production has the materials it needs, when it needs them
Incoming and outgoing orders are accurate, complete, and on time
Damaged or non-conforming materials are caught and communicated early
Colleagues across operations rely on you for clear communication and follow-through
Safety and quality are part of everything you do

What Makes You Successful

You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in getting the details right.

You’re organized, you notice when something doesn’t look right, and you follow through on your commitments. You work well independently and as part of a team, and you’re comfortable reading and interpreting purchase orders, packing slips, work orders, and shipping documents.

You’ll be especially successful if you bring experience in receiving, warehousing, inventory control, shipping, manufacturing, or production support. Experience with ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems is an asset.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1–3 years of experience in receiving, warehousing, inventory control, shipping, manufacturing, or production support preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, work orders, and shipping documentation
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
Experience with ERP, inventory, or warehouse management systems (asset)
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it (asset)
Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement

Physical requirements: The ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely; to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday; and to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment, safely operating material handling equipment when authorized.

What’s In It For You

Full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week)
Practical, hands-on training and development
Cross-training across both warehouse and production functions
Exposure to engineered industrial equipment used across diverse industries
Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement
A collaborative team environment that values initiative and problem-solving
Meaningful work that directly supports customer success

Ready to Keep Things Moving?

If you take pride in accuracy, safety, and teamwork, and want to be part of a growing manufacturer, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply with your resume and tell us about your experience in receiving, warehousing, inventory, shipping, or production support, and anything you’d like us to know about your commitment to safety and quality.
