Tasks
- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
- Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
- Perform minor repairs on appliances
- Perform safety and security checks
- Supervise other workers
- Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
- Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
- Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
- Work with minimal supervision
- Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas

Responsibilities
Maintain and make minor repairs to hotel systems, appliances, and facilities, and contact contractors or tradespeople for major repairs. Perform safety checks, cleaning, groundskeeping, snow removal, and other routine maintenance tasks, while also supervising workers as needed.
Requirements
A secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is listed, and prior experience is an asset. A WHMIS certificate is specified; the role also requires physical work, dependability, communication, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organization, and reliability.
