  • Pay: $35.00–$55.00/hour, based on your level, skillset and experience

The Role

Our Commercial division is growing, and we’re hiring plumbers at every stage from 3rd year apprentice to journeyperson. You’ll install plumbing systems in commercial buildings, from groundworks and rough-ins through finished installations. Apprentices work under our journeypersons and build toward their ticket. Journeypersons take the lead on site: they organize materials and labour, run sub-scopes, and mentor the next generation of plumbers.

On the Job, You’ll:

  • Complete groundworks, rough-ins and new plumbing system installations in commercial buildings
  • Work from blueprints, schematics and technical drawings
  • Cut, thread and bend pipe, and assemble, install and secure pipe, fittings and fixtures to specification
  • Pressure-test systems with air and water gauges to find leaks and other issues
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing problems
  • Work alongside journeypersons, project managers and other trades
  • Follow local plumbing codes, safety regulations and company procedures on every job
  • Keep your tools, equipment and work area clean and organized

Journeypersons will also:

  • Organize materials and labour, and lead sub-scopes on site
  • Mentor apprentices with hands-on training and day-to-day guidance

What You Need:

  • Apprentices: Registration as a 3rd or 4th year plumbing apprentice in good standing, with at least 2 years of commercial plumbing experience
  • Journeypersons: Journeyperson Plumber certification, with at least 3–5 years of commercial plumbing experience. Leadership experience is preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, tools and materials
  • Good mechanical skills and strong problem-solving ability
  • Clear communication, and comfort working independently or as part of a crew
  • The physical ability to lift heavy materials, do manual labour and work in confined spaces
  • A valid driver’s licence and a clean driver’s abstract
  • A strong commitment to safety and company policies
  • The drive to keep learning and growing in the trade
