We are seeking an experienced SimCorp Dimensions Derivatives Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the implementation, configuration, optimization, testing, and ongoing enhancement of derivatives functionality within SimCorp Dimensions (SCD).
The successful candidate will serve as the primary expert for derivatives processing and associated workflows, partnering with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and project resources to deliver efficient and scalable solutions across investment operations. The role requires deep expertise in OTC and exchange-traded derivatives, trade lifecycle management, valuations, collateral management, settlements, reconciliations, and operational controls
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary SME for derivatives processing and functionality within SimCorp Dimensions.
- Collaborate with business, operations, technology, and vendor teams to design and implement efficient derivatives workflows.
- Configure, validate, and optimize SimCorp Dimensions derivative modules and related processes.
- Support requirements gathering, solution design, system testing, and production deployments.
- Provide expertise across the full derivatives lifecycle, including:
Trade capture
Confirmations
Valuations
Collateral management
Settlements
Reconciliations
Cashflow processing
Lifecycle event management
- Analyze current processes and recommend automation, standardization, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex derivatives-related processing, data, valuation, and integration issues.
- Support instrument setup, security master maintenance, data mapping, and interface validation activities.
- Develop and execute testing strategies, test cases, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide recommendations related to data quality, system controls, operational risk mitigation, and exception management.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, migrations, and transformation initiatives.
- Develop reporting requirements and support operational and management reporting solutions.
- Create and maintain business process documentation, configuration documentation, and training materials.
- Partner with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, Risk, Accounting, and Technology teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
- Hands-on experience working with derivatives products and associated operational workflows.
- Proven experience implementing, configuring, supporting, or enhancing SimCorp Dimensions (SCD).
- Strong knowledge of SimCorp Dimensions derivatives functionality, including:
Trade lifecycle processing
Valuations
Settlements
Reconciliations
Cashflow management
- Advanced understanding of OTC and exchange-traded derivatives and related operational processes.
- Experience translating business requirements into technology and process solutions within SimCorp Dimensions.
- Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, migrations, testing, or transformation initiatives involving derivatives processing.
- Strong understanding of derivative trade economics and instrument structures.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve complex processing and data issues.
- Experience developing and executing UAT, reconciliation, validation, and system testing activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across investment management environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
The indicated pay range is a good‑faith estimate based on required qualifications, experience, training, and other factors permitted by law.
