Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days per week in-office)

$95,000–$105,000 base salary plus bonus and excellent benefits

Our client, an established real estate company, is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their downtown Toronto team. This role offers broad exposure to financial reporting and financial planning and analysis, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their skills and build a long-term career.

Working closely with senior finance leaders, the successful candidate will support reporting, analyze financial performance and help improve processes. The team offers mentorship, support for professional development and opportunities to take on additional responsibility. This could be a strong next step for someone coming from public accounting with real estate clients, or an accounting professional with relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reporting under IFRS.
• Assist with financial statement disclosures, management reporting and management’s discussion and analysis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting, working with internal stakeholders to gather and analyze financial information.
• Prepare variance analysis, investigate changes in financial performance and provide clear explanations of key findings.
• Analyze financial and operational data to support business decisions and respond to information requests.
• Work collaboratively across the finance team, contributing to both financial reporting and FP&A activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, strengthen processes and automate recurring work.
• Support special projects and additional financial analysis as required.

Requirements:

• CPA designation completed or in progress.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in public accounting or industry.
• Experience with real estate clients or within the real estate sector is a selling feature.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive approach, willingness to learn and interest in improving processes.
