Role Description The Store Security Agent is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for monitoring store premises to deter theft, safeguard merchandise, and support a safe environment for customers and colleagues. Day-to-day tasks include observing customer and employee activity, conducting routine floor patrols, responding to security incidents, and documenting occurrences in accordance with company policies. The Store Security Agent works closely with store management and loss prevention teams to enforce security procedures, support investigations, and maintain compliance with local laws and company standards. The role also involves providing a visible, professional presence on the sales floor, assisting with emergency response procedures, and promoting a culture of safety and respect.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail security, loss prevention, or a related field, with the ability to monitor activity and identify potential risks.
• Knowledge of basic security practices, including incident reporting, access control, and emergency response procedures.
• Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment when assessing situations and making decisions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, colleagues, and external partners.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately to conflicts, safety concerns, or emergency situations.
• Comfort working on feet for extended periods, patrolling the store, and performing physical tasks as required by the role.
• Familiarity with retail operations and customer service principles; previous experience in a store environment is an asset.
• High level of integrity, reliability, and commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive workplace.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on store needs.
• Relevant certifications or training in security, law enforcement, or safety are considered an advantage.
