Java Solutions Architect

Java Solutions Architect Role Overview

As a Java Solutions Architect at Wipro Solution Canada Ltd, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering advanced software solutions within the Capital Markets sector. This position requires a skilled professional who blends deep technical expertise with strategic vision to create innovative, scalable, and secure applications that align with client objectives and industry standards.

Your responsibilities will involve architecting complex Java-based systems, driving cloud adoption strategies with Microsoft Azure, and fostering modernization initiatives that transform legacy platforms into cloud-native environments. You will work closely with diverse stakeholder groups, including business leaders, development teams, and operations specialists, to ensure architectural integrity and project success.

Key Responsibilities

Define, design, and oversee the comprehensive solution architecture for Capital Markets applications, ensuring that deliverables meet both functional and non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, and compliance.
Leverage expertise in Microsoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to craft cloud-native architectures that are fault-tolerant, cost-effective, and designed for high availability.
Architect event-driven systems using Apache Kafka, implementing best practices in messaging and event processing to enable real-time data flows and decoupled system components.
Design Microservices architectures focused on modularity, with a clear API strategy that facilitates seamless integration across platforms and third-party services.
Lead and facilitate architecture working sessions and technical governance reviews to maintain consistency and quality across projects.
Develop detailed documentation including high-level and low-level designs (HLDs, LLDs), system architecture diagrams, and long-term technology roadmaps to guide development and operational teams.
Champion migration and modernization projects to transition legacy systems to cloud-native solutions, improving maintainability, scalability, and performance.
Ensure all technology solutions adhere to strict security standards, regulatory compliance, and enterprise resiliency frameworks.
Mentor software development teams, promoting engineering excellence through coding standards, design patterns, and agile methodologies.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure to ensure smooth delivery from concept through deployment.

Technical Proficiencies: Extensive experience as a Design Lead Architect in Capital Markets domains, strong command over SQL, Azure Cloud infrastructures including AKS, event-driven process implementations with Kafka, Microservices frameworks, RESTful APIs, Python programming capabilities, and familiarity with Databricks is considered advantageous.

Requirement Gathering and Code Development

Engage proactively with client stakeholders through structured workshops and interviews to capture detailed requirements that accurately reflect the business context and technical needs. Translate these into clear, actionable technical specifications while ensuring alignment with architectural best practices.

Design and implement high-quality, modular, and reusable Java code modules that integrate seamlessly with existing systems, adhering strictly to coding standards and security guidelines. Collaborate closely with peer developers to ensure code coherence and maintainability.

Drive continuous improvement by participating in code reviews, static code analysis, and refactoring initiatives to enhance solution robustness and performance.

Testing, Implementation, and Documentation

Take ownership of testing protocols for individual modules, overseeing unit tests, integration testing, and collaborating in system-wide user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure comprehensive validation of software solutions.

Partner with DevOps and QA teams to facilitate smooth deployment pipelines and release management practices that minimize downtime and operational risks. Provide ongoing support to resolve issues during implementation phases.

Produce thorough documentation including project blueprints, component specifications, workflow diagrams, technical manuals, and inline code comments. Maintain these resources up to date to support supportability, future maintenance, and knowledge transfer.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Communication

Act as a central point of communication between various disciplines such as business analysts, software engineers, quality assurance, infrastructure, and operations teams. Provide clear and concise technical guidance to ensure alignment on architecture vision and project goals.

Facilitate regular knowledge-sharing sessions and architectural workshops to promote transparency and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Support efforts to resolve technical challenges by encouraging collaborative problem-solving and constructive feedback mechanisms.
