Job Description/ Experience:
- Visit customer sites to diagnose and/or correct all technical problems (Cable Television, Hi-Speed Internet and Home Phone) to the satisfaction of the customer and in accordance with company specifications at subscriber's premises.
- Assess work assignments (Installations and Services) provided by Dispatch and maintain communication with Dispatcher and supervisor in regards to the solution provided.
- Install/configure and test cable equipment such as internet modems, phone modems, high definition and standard TV boxes, decoders, signal amplifiers and splitters etc.
- On-Site Service & Support: Providing site support for the products installed as required.
- Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets, install splitters and amplifiers.
- Install, remove, maintain and repair aerial and underground telephone and other telecommunication transmission lines.
- Install, remove, maintain and repair aerial drops and other telecommunication transmission lines to provide excellent services to subscribers.
- Splice and repair various types and sizes of telephone and other telecommunication cables including single line and coaxial.
- Inspect and test telecommunication transmission lines and cables for transmission characteristics and to locate faults.
- Climb heights and work on ladders/poles.
- Report & communicate with other company personnel for proper completion of Installation/ Service orders.
- Complete Company documentation pertaining to calls in accordance with the department processes and standards.
- Complete all assigned projects within established time parameters and standards.
- Learn and adhere to all applicable Health and Safety regulations, in accordance with legislation and related Company policies.
