The Opportunity

Wolseley Canada is looking for a Lead Compensation Analyst – Canada to serve as the primary compensation subject matter expert for the Canadian business.

Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, this is a senior individual contributor role responsible for compensation programs nationally, including base pay, incentive programs, salary structures, job evaluation, market benchmarking, annual compensation planning, pay equity and compensation analytics.

You will partner closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Payroll and business leaders, as well as Ferguson’s Compensation Centre of Excellence.

This role requires someone who is hands-on, highly independent and comfortable making decisions with limited direction. A key initial priority will be supporting the Workday tenant migration, including compensation data cleanup, mapping, validation, testing and reconciliation.

What You Will Do

Lead the compensation workstream for the migration of Wolseley Canada's Workday tenant into the Ferguson US tenant, including mapping structures, grades, ranges and plan configurations, data validation, testing and cutover.
Build and maintain Canadian salary ranges, grades and market differentials, manage survey participation and conduct market pricing for new and existing roles.
Evaluate roles, maintain job families and levels, and support organizational changes and acquisition integration.
Execute the annual merit, salary review and incentive planning cycle, from guidelines and tools through implementation and reconciliation.
Model and govern short-term incentive plans and act as the compensation liaison to Finance on sales compensation.
Provide evidence-based recommendations on offers, promotions, market adjustments, job evaluations and compensation exceptions.
Lead pay equity reviews and monitor pay transparency obligations across Canadian jurisdictions.
Build dashboards and analyses on compa-ratio, range penetration, pay movement and internal equity to support leadership decisions.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
6+ years of progressive compensation experience.
Strong experience with salary structures, market benchmarking, job evaluation and annual compensation cycles.
Multi-province Canadian compensation experience.
Working knowledge of Canadian pay equity and pay transparency requirements.
Advanced Workday Compensation and reporting experience.
HRIS implementation or Workday tenant migration experience strongly preferred.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
Strong compensation data analysis, reconciliation and data-cleanup experience.
Ability to work independently and manage work from issue identification through resolution.
CCP designation, or progress toward CCP, strongly preferred.
CHRL/CPHR is an asset.
Strong consulting, communication, and influencing skills, with the confidence and sound judgment to provide recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Distribution, industrial or retail experience is an asset.

Base Salary: $90,000 to $105,000 + 10% MIP
