Our Credentialling Services team is looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Support Assistant with good customer service skills to perform a variety of intermediate administrative duties. If you’re a self-starter, service-oriented, and enjoy helping internal and external clients, as well as performing diverse administrative work, consider joining us for this exciting temporary opportunity.

This is a temporary opportunity for 12 months.

How you’ll make a difference: You’ll provide us with your excellent skills in administration and customer service.

Where you’ll work

We serve the workers and employers across B.C., and we do best when we're together. It's how we collaborate, learn from one another, and develop our people.

This role is currently designated as having a hybrid work arrangement and is based in our Richmond office.

This is a unionized role and is subject to the provisions of the Collective Agreement between the Workers’ Compensation Board of BC and the Compensation Employees’ Union.

Like everything we do, our work model continues to evolve to support those we serve. We remain committed to a primarily in-office model that strengthens our culture and helps us deliver our best work, while balancing flexibility and positive employee experience.

Prepare, edit, and coordinate business documents, reports, presentations, and meeting summaries.
Compile reporting data, performance measures, and operational information.
Coordinate meetings, travel, accommodations, and related administrative arrangements.
Monitor shared mailboxes and respond to or redirect routine inquiries and requests.
Maintain departmental records, reference materials, tracking tools, and office supplies.
Receive and distribute mail, courier items, and materials.
Provide administrative support for projects, committees, and day-to-day office operations.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Can

Organize a high-volume workload involving multiple tasks, changing priorities, and deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
Communicate clearly and concisely, listen effectively, and ask appropriate questions to obtain or relay information
Gather, understand, process, and accurately communicate information from multiple sources
Provide professional, tactful, respectful, and courteous service in person and by phone, including in challenging situations
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when entering data and preparing records or documents
Type accurately and maintain complete and accurate records, documents, and data

Your Background And Experience

A minimum Grade 12 education
Six to nine months of related office or administrative support experience
Experience preparing, formatting, proofreading, and maintaining business documents and records
Experience using Microsoft Office applications and other approved business tools to prepare documents, compile information, and maintain records
Experience coordinating meetings and responding to routine administrative inquiries
Ability to organize competing priorities and complete work accurately within established procedures
